Careful dude, these brownies have magic in 'em. This week on Weed in the News, Kayla covers a High Herstory interview with Alia Volz, the author of Home Baked: My Mom, Marijuana, and the Stoning of San Francisco. Alia's mom was an OG #cannamom who medicated the Bay Area with thousands of pot brownies in the '70s and '80s. Eat it, baby!

In Stoner Chicks-related news, Phoebe had her collages published in the Home Grown Zine (@homegrownzine), Grace has been strumming away on her ukulele, Stephani has been getting high as a kite and flying high kites, and Kayla has indulged in some steamy historical fiction.

Grace tells the tale of our Stoners of the Week, Alice. B Toklas and Gertrude Stein (who were not baby lovers). Alice may very well be the reason pot brownies became the poster child for cannabis edibles! Sources: Great Moments in Weed History & Stuff you Missed in History Class
