Severus Hape is back pointlessly podcasting about the punkadellys. What is up fellow Punkadelophiles, another great episode in the books it’s my big sprawling review of Mastodon’s big sprawling album: Hushed & Grim. Released last autumn, the record runs a meaty 90 minutes in total so it’s taken me a while to gather my thoughts. Spoiler alert: I’m a fan. I love it. It’s a Mastodon double album: it was written in the stars. Foretold by the prophets. I break it down in full, then throw in the kitchen sink. We go to town on this sucker. Together. Outside of all that cosmic sludgethunder there’s time to check in on the civil service in the city of Chicago, read up on the new movies from both Michael Mann and Zack Snyder and watch a trailer for a new entry into the canon of our favourite action movie subgenre, the ever elusive and mysterious Gun-Fu. Allow me a moment also to lament three episodes that I thought deserved more attention, The Snyder Slut, Talkin’ Tarantino and Barmy Of The Dead. I make the case for revisiting all three this week. Then it was only time for one thing: Walloper Watch. This week featuring an update from last episode, several twitter cretins and a Prince Andrew apologist who wallop watches himself. True Story.
Peace.
Love.
