Description

Disease Ansari is back punkdelically podcasting prohibited pluralism and propositions. It is story time this week and we got some absolute peaches to get into. This entire episode builds towards “Speedy Fegan You’re A Dead Man,” possibly my favourite news article of all time, detailing an insane time in my hometown’s history where drug dealers, gypsies, murderers, paramilitaries, mistresses, arsonists, snitches and so much more make their presence felt. It’s a wild one, I hope you’ll agree. The title comes from graffiti scrawled on a gable wall, Newry’s answer to social media in the nineties. If your name appeared on a gable wall it was not ever good news. It seemed only right to tell more tales this ep, and we get balls deep into a trio of travesties:

  1. Assault on Metcalf Substation
  2. The Murder Factory in the Heart of the Ibadan Forest
  3. Albert Fish, aka The Brooklyn Vampire, aka The Werewolf of Wisteria

From real life Tom Clancy, Sam Fisher, Mission Impossible level conspiracies, to serial and ritual murder, this episode brings the blood in buckets. It’s a dark one. But we also had time to visit Martin Scorsese's wonderful tribute to Ray Liotta (RIP), theories about the new Predator movie, Prey and - notably - a woman taking a dump in a phone box.

Peace.

Love.
