Description

In November of 2021, the Canadian federal government mandated all vehicles crossing the border, and passengers arriving from international destinations, must be vaccinated in order to be allowed entry onto Canadian soil. This mandate became adopted by the U. S. government, and whether crossing into Canada, or crossing into the United States, vaccinations are mandatory.

In January, 2022, , a group of truckers, mostly driving transport trucks, began a protest convoy to the federal capital of Ottawa, in response to this mandate.

Since this convoy began, hundreds more truckers and truck drivers have join the convoy, and there are now over 500 trucks in the Ottawa city core.

Apparently, United States truck drivers are planning a similar protest to the National capital of Washington D.C., and a Go Fund Me campaign was able to raise almost 10,000,000 dollars in support, before the campaign was pulled by Go Fund Me in response to reports the protests had become violent and promoting racism. This convoy has been dubbed the Freedom Convoy, and it shows no hope of ending.

While demonstrations and protests have been a mainstay of a free society, is this the type of protest we’ve come to recognize as the only way to make a voice known to the authorities that be?

Our panel discusses this fact, and whether the panel feels this convoy is in the best interests of the general public, and the discussion is from a blind perspective.

Join our panel, every Saturdays, at 5:00 pm Eastern, 2:00 pm Pacific, as we examine today’s headlines from a blind perspective.
