For this week’s Friday Film Feature, we feature The Greatest Showman, released in 2017, and starring Hugh Jackman, Michelle Williams, Zac Efron and Zendaya. The movie is a tour de force for its cast, featuring original singing, feel good music that is modern, even though the movie is set in the 1800’s. The premise is simple, the birth of “show business”, a term that is being attributed to P. T. Barnum and his newly created circus. This movie tells the story of equality that categorically states all are created equally, regardless of skin colour, disability, size or hirsute status. Tune in as Claudia and Victor dissect this movie that sets a new tone for musicals.
