This week I speak to the incredible women that is Jackie Fox. This was an emotional episode to record but what Jackie shows throughout this episode is how courageous and strong as goes through the worst nightmare anyone can possibly go through.
Jackie's daughter Nicole sadly took her own life in 2018. This was due to years and years of online and face to face torment. Nicole's life was turned upside down, and was deprived of the every day joy's a young person should have growing up. Jackie speaks openly about the physical abuse her daughter faced and the manipulation that came with it.
I was blown away by Jackie's strength to go through the loss of her daughter but then decide one day how can I ensure other's do not have to go through the same thing and this is where COCO's law comes in. We will let Jackie explain what this Law entails and why it is important her daughters legacy lives on.
The whole story is absolutely astounding and serves as a stark reminder that the online world can be a cruel place to be. If you are a parent please be mindful of your children's activity and as an adult move away from negative platforms that do not bring you joy.
This episode is a reminder to us all how important it is to be kind to everyone, to understand and value eachother and extend your support when needed.
