Merry Christmas! In this Christmas letter, I recount the story of an old Chippewa elder who urges others remember the Prophet as a true figure, not just a myth. This Prophet left behind teachings reflected in the reverence toward Cedar and the symbol of the white snow. He taught the people to treat enemies as brothers and to counsel with one another.
