Mark DeRosa is a winner. He is a winner because he is a leader. He is a leader because he is comfortable in his own skin and determined to be the best he can possibly be. Growing up in Carlstadt, NJ, Mark attend Bergen Catholic HS where he was a stand out baseball and football player. From there he attended the University of Pennsylvania again as a two sport athlete to play baseball and football. In 1998, Mark was drafted by the Atlanta Braves and thus began his career in MLB. Although he was never the big name or the big bat, he earned respect in the league for his attitude, preparation, and willingness to speak the truth into the ball clubs he was a part of. What you learn pretty quick about Mark is that he is genuine and that he cares about people. By caring about people and building them up, teams will win. It worked in high school. It worked in college. And it work in MLB, where he eventually won a ring with the the San Francisco Giants in 2010. No as an analyst for the MLB Network, Mark continues to grow and challenge himself to be the best analyst, husband, father, and human he can be.
