The Church believes that it is the human body that is is the source of how we get in touch with the divine, precisely because Divinity rejoices to be one with our flesh.
Yet some very different messages about the body are pushed upon us, especially from the propaganda of the media. This impacts the way we see ourselves, others and our relationships. And if it's not the truth, or worse, we believe these lies, it is going to be nearly impossible to live in a healthy and fulfilling way.

About Dr. John Acquaviva: John holds a PhD in exercise science and is a professor at Wingate University. Over the years, he has given hundreds of presentations to fitness professionals, Catholic Church adult congregations, youth groups, and campus ministries.
