Be Better Today (Season 2, Episode 42) – Crisis: Martin Luther King, Jr.

We wrap-up the week of crisis quotes with a beauty by American Civil Rights leader and one of the greatest orators of all-time, the late Martin Luther King, Jr., who said: “The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.”

In one near-perfect sentence, Dr. King conveys that it is easy to be a good person when times are simple, but what matters is where you stand when times are most difficult. Ask yourself during this crisis, “Where do I stand?”

Going forward, I plan to rarely, if ever, mention the pandemic. We will look at quotes that likely will help during this time, but with an eye on a return to normalcy. I hope you’ve found a quote or two to lean on in these extraordinary times.

Now, let’s get out there and #bebettertoday!
