Description

Obedience is what separates the ____________________ from the ____________________.

[Matthew 14:25-29] About three o'clock in the morning Jesus came toward them, walking on the water. [26] When the disciples saw him walking on the water, they were terrified. In their fear, they cried out, "It's a ghost!" [27] But Jesus spoke to them at once. "Don't be afraid," he said. "Take courage. I am here!" [28] Then Peter called to him, "Lord, if it's really you, tell me to come to you, walking on the water." [29] "Yes, come," Jesus said. So Peter went over the side of the boat and walked on the water toward Jesus.

____________________ to God's Word leads to a life of adventure.

[Luke 5:1-3] One day as Jesus was preaching on the shore of the Sea of Galilee, great crowds pressed in on him to listen to the word of God. [2] He noticed two empty boats at the water's edge, for the fishermen had left them and were washing their nets. [3] Stepping into one of the boats, Jesus asked Simon, its owner, to push it out into the water. So he sat in the boat and taught the crowds from there.

My obedience ____________________ prepares me for my obedience ____________________.

[Luke 5:4-6] When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, "Now go out where it is deeper, and let down your nets to catch some fish." [5] "Master," Simon replied, "we worked hard all last night and didn't catch a thing. But if you say so, I'll let the nets down again." [6] And this time their nets were so full of fish they began to tear!

Obedience ____________________ God's miracle.

[Acts 5:28-29, 32] "Didn't we tell you never again to teach in this man's name?" he demanded. "Instead, you have filled all Jerusalem with your teaching about him, and you want to make us responsible for his death!" [29] But Peter and the apostles replied, "We must obey God rather than any human authority. ... [32] We are witnesses of these things and so is the Holy Spirit, who is given by God to those who obey him."

[James 1:22 ESV] But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
