Hey heeeeey Obsidian Gang πŸ€™πŸΎπŸ’šβœ¨πŸŒˆ!!! We’re back at it again with our next Episode of S1E6 w/ a notorious weightlifter, and sports nutrition coach who is breaking new barriers as she transitions from representing her country of birth to her country of lineage in the sport of Olympic Weightlifting.

This episode has an exhilarating story that is literally breaking barriers! Meet Morgan Vozuble! After graduating from University of Delaware with a Bachelor's Degree in Women's Studies and Gender & Sexuality, Morgan moved to Philadelphia in 2010 where she soon discovered CrossFit.

Without a background in sports, she was experiencing strength gains and confidence within a new context. This new found perspective for how she perceived her body's worth was what motivated her to invest in becoming a sports and nutrition coach for the last 9+ years.

Morgan has been wholly dedicated to helping people excel past their own expectations, striving to make weightlifting, CrossFit, and great nutrition accessible to all - specifically marginalized groups that the sport was not initially created for or marketed to, like people of color and queer youth.

Since competing in CrossFit, she transitioned to Olympic Weightlifting full time - where she has medaled for the USA team five times, including internationally, where she represented the US in Malta.

As a Mexican-American, she has recently started competing for Mexico and is now exploring identity politics, language barriers, and her cultural identity within the sport.

We are thrilled to dive more into her story and hear how she diligently overcame the internal and physical obstacles as a competitive, and queer athlete in the Olympic Weightlifting World.

S1E6 is AIRING NOW! Thank you @morganvoz for coming on to our show!!! PLEASE REMEMBER TO LIKE, COMMENT, ENGAGE, AND SHARE!
