Description

The world is heating up, and it’s no joke.

The terms once in a lifetime or once in a hundred years are becoming meaningless as unprecedented heatwaves become increasingly common.

In June 2021, Lytton, BC, Canada, experienced the highest temperature ever recorded in Canada - 49.6 ℃ - then the town burned to the ground the next day.

In June 2022, Japan experienced its most prolonged and hottest heatwave for the month on record, with hundreds brought to the hospital and several deaths. Heatwaves are becoming historic, deadly and life-changing events.
