Listen

Description

This week, we are joined by U.S National Team volleyball player and Under Armour athlete, Jordan Thompson. She talks about her own personal struggles with mental health and how the events of 2020, particularly the pandemic and the social injustices that were globally brought to light, impacted her. She addresses the relationship between racism and mental health and shares some of her own experiences/anxieties that come with being a Black woman in America. We discuss some of the ways that anti-racist action was taken by white people and how we can effectively do our part in creating change. It is a vulnerable, raw, and necessary conversation to both listen to and have with the people in your life. Black Lives Matter, and together we can make a difference!
