In The Impeachment 2.0 Episode, Emily talks about the second impeachment trial of Donald Trump and reviews the argument made by the House Impeachment Managers. She also rants about vaccines, stimulus checks, and pillows!
Update: After I finished recording this episode, Donald Trump's defense team completed their presentation. They took significantly less time than they were allotted, and the Senate began questioning both sides. After a chaotic morning this Saturday, the House Impeachment Managers began the process to call witnesses, but ultimately decided to not go forward with the request. The Senate voted at 3:30 on Saturday 57-43, which was not enough to convict. The seven Republican votes were: Burr, Cassidy, Collins, Murkowski, Romney, Sasse, and Toomey. Notably, Burr and Toomey will not be running for reelection. Ultimately, this means that Trump will not face political repercussions for his role in causing the January 6th riot at the Capitol. Get ready for a rant next week because... oh man...
