In this solo episode I talk about why when we turn to food, drugs and other substances or behaviours that take over the central focus of daily we halt our development of skills for life at whatever age we were when we started.
Skill is required - if you want to find freedom and maintain new behavioural habits, thoughts and feelings and let go of the things that are keeping you stuck in a repeating cycle of health sabotage.
There are many 'skills for life' that need to be developed, the key ones I cover in this short episode are:
Radical Honesty
Communication
Emotional intelligence / emotional regulation
These skills need to be learned and practiced daily, ideally multiple times a day.
