Mary Gilmore is Deputy Principal of St Louis Secondary, Dundalk since 2017. A Dundalk native, Mary understands the cultural context of her school, having lived there as a child. From 2013 to 2017 she was an Education advisor for Junior Cycle teachers. She is currently the chairperson for the Network of School Planners Ireland and has been since 2016, a network set up to support the work of senior leaders in schools. Mary is here to tell us about her own journey to leadership. She reminds us all teachers are leaders and encourages teachers to grasp every opportunity that comes their way.
