Today we will search the scriptures and talk about what it means to denying yourself daily and living by the spirit and not the flesh. After recently visiting a church in Covington I was overwhelmed with the amount of impact one man's (Tim Spicer) life had on everyone. We search the scriptures and began to interpret the meaning of denying ourselves.
Then Jesus said to his disciples, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me. Matthew 16:24 NLT
Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Philippians 2:3 ESV
Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later. Romans 8:18 NLT
