Description

On today’s episode, Greenwich Academy’s Nina Hanlon is chatting with us about Kindergarten admissions and how families of color should interpret the decisions they receive.

Thousands of prospective families are about to find out whether or not their Kindergarten-aged children have been admitted to their desired independent schools. For many February 4th is a very emotional day and parents may feel excited, scared, confused, maybe even dissatisfied by the whole admissions process. And, then the older grades will follow with their notices of acceptance.

Nina Hanlon is the Director of Enrollment and Financial Aid at Greenwich Academy--a position she has held since 2016. Ms. Hanlon is a graduate of Brown University where she majored in Africana Studies and rowed competitively for the varsity crew team.
