If 2020 showed us anything, it's that we're all contingent that having a job doesn't necessarily translate into a career.
And while I think many of us were aware of that already, for a lot of people the idea that they could just be indefinitely furloughed and left to fend for themselves, came as a bit of a shock.
2020 also drove home the idea that a job doesn't guarantee us a place to sit.
The whole work from home, or work at home thing, which I think had been trending as a lifestyle choice, really seemed to get leverage from stay at home orders—delivering a potential boon to those companies who are looking to reduce their overhead costs.
