Christ the King Sunday
On this "Christ the King Sunday," we launch our Advent sermon series "It’s About Time" by exploring what it means to tell time by Jesus. As the Christian Year ends and begins again, we’re invited to see time not just as minutes and months, but as a grace-filled rhythm shaped around the life of Christ.
This sermon shows how the Church Calendar—Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Easter, Pentecost—is more than a set of holidays. It’s a way of learning to navigate the real seasons of our lives: waiting, joy, revelation, suffering, renewal, and empowerment. Our lives often rhyme with the story of Jesus, and the Christian Year helps us recognize God’s presence in every moment.
This morning we're invited to learn how making Jesus “king of our time” can form us, guide us, and open your eyes to the hidden grace of God in every season.
