Pastor Taylor Shippy - 1 Samuel 4:1-6:21

In this week’s sermon, we explore an interesting moment in ancient Israel's history where they lose the Ark of the Covenant. What happens when our faith is more in the symbol of God's presence than in God Himself? Drawing on this ancient story and Jesus’ crucifixion, we reflect on how pain, loss, and disillusionment can become a crucible—testing and refining our faith. What if these seasons aren't signs of God's defeat, but invitations to let go of our boxed-in versions of God and learn to trust Him more deeply? Even in a Good Friday world, what if all Dagons will fall and resurrection is on the horizon?
