Pastor Taylor Shippy - John 20:11-18
It is Easter Sunday, yet how often do we take the time to respond like the original witnesses of the resurrection did. In John's Gospel, we notice that their disposition towards the perplexing scene at the tomb is a bit different than our festivities on Easter Sunday today. The Gospel of John zooms in and looks at specifically the response of Mary Magdalene and her Easter journey. We see Easter begins with a question, "Whom are you seeking?" It is followed by a startling revelation. Then it necessitates a response to tell others the good news.
