When it comes down to it, the church's exhortation to humility is not meant to enforce strict standards or to create barriers to inclusion. Instead, it's meant to inspire a spirit of respect, selflessness, and sensitivity at our communal gatherings for worship and fellowship. Modesty, when exercised with kindness and love, creates a space where all people are treated with dignity and where they can all experience God's presence and grow spiritually.
