Patrol Watch Commander FRST Midwest Regional Coordinator – KC Metro
Jon has been in law enforcement since 1997. Jon has worked in Patrol, Communications, and Detention at various points in his career and currently serves as the Administrative Lieutenant for the Patrol Division. Jon has been apart of Peer Support for the last 10 years and is currently the Administrator of the Peer Support Team for his department. Jon is also a Regional Coordinator for the non-profit, FRST Midwest, where he assists with training new and veteran Peer Support team members as well as coordinates Peer Support’s response to critical incidents. Jon has a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Washburn University and is a graduate of the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center’s Johnson County Regional Academy. Jon will complete the FBILEEDA’s Leadership Institutes Trilogy series in September of 2022. Jon is married to Jill Koch, who is a Master Deputy with the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, and they have four children ranging from 11 years old to 18 years old.
