Welcome back to "Rising Warriors Rachael Kulei" Indigenous Podcast. "Supporting Indigenous Movements" with Indigenous Leader, Amanda Squiemphen-Yazzie. I was inspired to bring our sister on today to share her story and her voice as an Indigenous Woman and Movement Leader.
Amanda Squiemphen-Yazzie is a proud Warm Springs, Navajo, Wasco, and Yakama woman. She has a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Portland State University and Minor in Civic Leadership. She currently resides on the traditional homelands of Chinook and Cowlitz people. Amanda volunteers on a variety of committees and boards throughout Oregon and she recently co-wrote A Kids Book about Voting. Her values in life are too; respect Mother Earth, Decolonize herself to the best of her abilities, be a lifetime learner, never forget the sacrifices, love, and teachings of those who came before her, and always think with the next seven generations with every decision she makes.
