TAXI FOR PABLO BIO:

Taxi For Pablo are a Pontefract based four piece rock band mixing influences from the mainstream and underground, past and present. The 'heart on the sleeve' lyrics combined with the fuzz infused, loud & raw sound the band strives to create, shows contempt for the trappings of everyday life, but always with the positive outlook of finding a way out and expressing these feelings creatively.

Setting to work cutting the first two tracks of their Demo in late 2018 with Alex Rothwell at Pontefract's Infamous Music Store - Jow Music (yes, actually in the store!). The first of these tracks 'Bury The Hatchet'-  the band released this as a debut single on all popular digital streaming services in 2019.

After a few shows under their collective belt including opening for MC Lars on his Gigantic Robot Kills anniversary tour and the Hook & Gun festival, Wakefield plus a change in personnel, new bass player Connor Wilson - the band started 2020 with more live shows and recording on the horizon. The band were set writing new material after an under-certain future with Covid-19 put a halt to regular rehearsals. The band were able to make the most of time they had together in one room but also writing independently working towards writing and completing their debut album, However the long term effects of the  Covid-19 pandemic left the band by the end of the year without their home at diamond studios which sadly closed its doors in October 2020.
