Renewing the mind is one of those things that takes work, time and effort. After we have developed a relationship with Christ we need help from the Holy Spirit to make changes in our lives, to know what changes need to be made and in some cases the causes. Pain from our past can hinder the way we love, and the lack of certain qualities can cause deficiencies leaving even Christians emotionally unavailable.
