At the culmination of Psalms 23, the writer penned, "Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever." This idea of follow is not to simply trail along behind like a puppy with its tail between its legs. It is not an afterthought or a "teaser." It is an active pursuit with the intention of overtaking.
