Our duty, purpose, and calling as men are to fight for those who can't fight for themselves. It is to swim upstream when everyone is telling you it's easier to float downstream, with the current. A lot can be learned from the salmon who swim upstream and fight the current, only to reproduce the next generation of salmon and then die. We are called to stand on our principles and lead when it's hard and when our surroundings point to leading down a path of least resistance. We have a lot to learn from salmon.
