There is a monument in Bucksport Maine that is said to be the site of a curse. All the trappings for a good legend, or a good curse, are there. 1700's, Maine settlement, a supposedly jilted woman accused of witchcraft and cursing the town that put her to death. We have all read the book. Seen the movie. However, is this story true? Is a man and a town forever cursed? Let's find out.
