This isn’t for me, it’s for our community. As most of you know we lost Jaxon’s mother earlier this month. She suffered greatly from something that has a stigma placed upon it. Mental illness affects many and there are not a lot of options in this town that actually do much good. I lacked understanding for a lot of years, but began to research what people endure when they are afflicted. My goal is to start a non-profit foundation in Ashley’s name and perhaps help other individuals who are dealing with similar illnesses. Her and I talked about starting some sort of program that would allow her to tell her story and help others. It didn’t happen and she left this world early, but I am going to do something to honor her memory, as well as raise awareness and validity.
