Give him the credit for a job well executed. And tell him what you think can be even better next time. This way you have taken authority to decide. Command

Take out time to listen to his thoughts, experience and story. His college days, may be. This will give a chance to learn about his way of thinking. Offering a shoulder so that he can unburden himself.

You may benefit in a thing or two….May be he sometime would even share a story about how he had a crush on somebody…😁😁😁

Learn something about a burning problem. And teach him. Take all his questions. 90% of time, he will be a good student of yours. Be the leader.

Do remember that you always had this chance to be a leader, to have a huge circle of influence, irrespective of your designation and position.

Do not accept shrinkage in attitude or in learning.

Quitting is the last resort.

It should never be your first choice.
