Season 4 Episode 4
Season 4 Theme : The Places That Scare You
This special, heart-opening episode was recorded in Mazunte with my brothers Jonathan, Ian and Papa John.
The episode begins with questions on the power of the terminology we use, in this instance, medicine.
Is using the word ‘medicine’ to refer to something we intake daily (such as food) then insinuating that we are constantly sick?
This gracefully brings us into a focus on well-being, nutrition, self-care, kindness and the magic of positive thinking.
The episode becomes very raw and heart centred as Papa John gives us an insight into his fears regarding Jonothan’s healing process and his choices to seek self-healing practices and support.
The fear of death, endless suffering and suicidal thoughts is spoken about vulnerably and extensively, as we delve into the stigma around sharing into these incredibly potent areas. The topic of suicide is one that touches each of our hearts personally through knowing someone close to us/family that has chosen this route.
How can we flip the script on suicidal thoughts and tune into our feelings on a deeper level? How can we change our perspective and trust in our gut feelings? How can we take control of our own health again and not become reliant on a system that is selling our own health TO us?
