This episode meets the inspiring Randall Plunkett, Guardian and Lord of Dunsany Castle in County Meath. Randall is part of the European Rewilding Network and is Rewilding 750 acres, with 550 acres of forest. Randall is also rehabilitating animals.
This episode weaves through the timelines of a 950 year long legacy of the Dunsany family and the impact that this had on Randall as a proposed guardian of the land and estate.
We cut through the topic surrounding identification with lineage, familial expectation and protecting the legacy of those before. Randall dives deep into the exploration of programmes and expressing darkness and the shadow through various art forms.
Some deep conversations uncover hidden truths within, the heaviness of possessing things, attachments and the lightness of freedom.
We each share openly and discuss the beauty of nature in its teachings. As we are both part of rewilding projects, a shared experience is discussed in the magic of learning about unity, adaptation, and love, from nature.
