Description

The BETTERMEN podcast is for men who desire to become better men.

As I mentioned in episode 1, we talked about the four responsibilities of manhood… Certainly, there are more than four, but these four are foundational to us being the men God called us to be.

First, we are responsible for…

The condition of Our Heart… Above all else, guard your heart

What is God looking for? I believe He is looking for a Soft Heart… Not a perfect one, but a soft one…

The 2nd responsibility is The management of Our Mind… like a garden

We will dive more into this specific one today…

The third, The investment of Our Time… we all only get 24 hours

The Pursuit of Our Relationship with God…

We won’t get to the second one in this episode, but I will make sure to cover it soon in a future episode, possibly #3 or #4.

I think today it is important to address what it takes to become BETTER and what is holding us back from doing so.

To become a better man, it will require personal change.

I think we all know that.

This is why I say,

True Manhood comes down to personal leadership with an emphasis on honesty, duty, and sacrifice.

Champion men take responsibility for their attitudes, behaviors, and reactions.

Men who tend to lose in life place blame, make excuses and justify their poor actions, AND as a result… they wander and ultimately settle in life, never reaching their potential.

There is no self-growth without personal change. If you want to see growth in any area, it will require you to make a few changes and constant adjustments along the way.

Fellas, you don’t have to settle for anything less than being a great man. I don’t care who you are or where you come from. You don’t have to settle.

I believe you are listening to this podcast because you have the desire to change.

Am I right?

But sadly, we can’t wish or pray ourselves into a new and better man.

We all wish we could, but it doesn’t work like that. There is no magic pill, just us doing the hard work on ourselves.

For some, the desire is there, but the results year after year are the same.

No change.

Or should I say, no significant change!

After working with men for many years, I have discovered that the core problem is not just a lack of discipline or laziness. Our core issue is motivation.

I am talking about desire...drive...determination.

A Burning Desire.

A Relentless Drive.

A Dogged Determination.

That is the essence of Motivation.
