In this episode, I hang out with Archie Blu. Archie is a guitarist, singer, and songwriter. He lives at the musical extremes of metal and indie rock. He plays metal in Color Motive and indie rock in Archie Blu. We reminisce on fun problems to have fending off nature and high school hang outs in Chattanooga, TN. Influences like The Smiths, The Strokes, Franz Ferdinand, Megadeth, Jethro Tull, The Beatles, Ariel Pink, and Mac DeMarco. We discuss Lo-Fi music and how achievable, approachable, and rebellious it is. Listen to learn his Nashville beginnings story and how his 3 month tour with a metal band was his first taste of road life. He talks about the attitude and mindset shift that occurs when moving to Nashville and you either have the choice of being intimidated or inspired.
