Description

In this episode, I hang out with Kameron Jane. Kameron is a multi-talented singer/songwriter and musician from the band Jane and the Killer Queens, who also happens to be a proud spider lover! 🕷️

Kameron is a complex artist, both enigmatic and unpredictable, which makes for an engaging conversation. Growing up, she often struggled to communicate with those around her. But through music, she found a powerful cathartic release. Her songs are a vibrant expression of female rage and empowerment.

With a mission to spread love, Kameron seeks to create a space for misfit kids, reminding them they truly belong. Having experienced bullying and feeling misunderstood herself, she uses music as a way to make her voice heard.

In this episode, you’ll learn about her unique songwriting process—how she often starts with just one lyric and builds an entire song around it.

Kameron draws inspiration from musical icons like David Bowie, Lady Gaga, The Cure, Type O Negative, Leonard Cohen, Hozier, and Sturgill Simpson. She has a special fondness for Bowie’s 2000s era. Enjoy!
