I’ve always been interested in astrology, horoscopes, numerology, manifestation, universal energy, and for the last year, I’ve really allowed myself to explore these topics much further, much deeper than I have before. And it was actually while I was taking a human design class that I learned some information that I’m still processing.
And that’s the idea that each and every one of us before we are born, we create a soul contract. And the idea behind this soul contract is that we come to Earth for a specific purpose, each and every one of us does this. We create a soul contract that outlines what our unique role is on Earth, So every one of us has a different destiny that we are supposed to carry out. Each one of us brings a specific love, a specific energy wave, a specific vibration that awakens consciousness - kind of like the butterfly effect.
Now this part of the lesson or theory I could easily get on board with and digest. However, the next part really hit me hard.
The human design instructor shared that when we learn our soul purpose and we sign up for our human experience, part of that contract includes a knowing that the people in our lives - including our family of origin - our parents and our siblings - all are people who are designed to help us remember what we came to Earth to do. So in other words, if we experience childhood trauma, that was specifically designed to happen so that we would wake up and remember who we really are. I had to ask a follow up question - was she implying that I chose or signed up for a life in which I felt unlovable and unlikeable even by my own parents due to narcissistic abuse? Was she saying that those who experience trauma asked for it? Like even child abuse and rape?
As callous as it may sound, yes, that’s exactly what she meant.
