Description

Kate Broug is a serial entrepreneur, animal rights activist, pilot and podcast host. After a series of inspiring trips to Bhutan, she decided to bring the magic of the country to the rest of the world with Anna In Bhutan, an ethical, luxury scarf line handmade in Bhutan and blessed by high ranking lamas of the Buddhist faith.

Through Anna In Bhutan, Kate has created a business that is sustainable, carbon negative, and supportive to local artisans, and in the process she has forged strong relationships with members of the Bhutanese people and the royal family.

Kate holds a BA in contemporary ballet from the Amsterdam School of the Arts, a certification in Journalism from the London School of Journalism and has studied choreographer Martha Graham's work extensively in New York City. She is an accomplished choreographer working throughout Europe, the US and the UK with notable names including Sadler's Well associate choreographer Alexander Whitley and has performed in self-choreographed works in Amsterdam theaters like The Krakeling and the Compagnietheater to great acclaim.

In addition to Anna In Bhutan and her many dance accomplishments, Kate also founded Cosmo's Own, a line of cat scratchers to fight and ban declawing in the United States, and holds a Private Pilot License.
