The original conversation, which is already nearing 1 million views, represents a milestone in Peterson's development. Thousands of Peterson's followers have experienced a shift in worldview based on the ideas presented in 12 Rules for Life and the Biblical lectures. One of the central tenants of Peterson's work has been to point people towards narrative or symbolic reality. As Peterson's own life aligns around the symbolic reality he has been speaking of, there is much for him to wrestle with.
