We bring you Esther Stanford Xosei in episode 2 of our “Levelling Up” series of presentations held during the recently concluded Black History Month in October. Esther is a Motherist, Jurisconsult, Decolonial Reparationist and Community Advocate specialising in the critical legal praxis of ‘law as resistance’ as an approach to social movement, lawyering, Mother Earth Jurisprudence and eco-socio-legal transformation from below. In this powerful presentation Esther speaks on the 2022 UK Black History Month theme: “Time for Change, action not words”.
The theme focused on the double-burden Black people carry: experiencing racism and discrimination and then being expected to fix the problem themselves.
