No one likes to wait. In our culture of instant gratification and go go go, we have made waiting into one of life’s biggest irritations. Yet, impatience may be the root of all sin, at least according to one theologian. You see, Christians are people who wait. We live in a liminal time between the already and the not yet. Christ has come, and Christ will come again. We dwell in the meantime. And so, we wait.
*About this Series*
In a world that seems so upside down these days, it can be hard to find any semblance of meaning or groundedness. Our lives have become so fragmented that we forget whose love we are rooted in. We struggle to connect our ordinary daily lives with the sacredness of it all. In this worship series, we discover that there are no parts of our lives that are secular, that are untouched by and disconnected from the real sacred work of worship and prayer. Every day is a Sacred Ordinary Day.
