Annie Dillard famously writes, “How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives.” We are marked from our first waking moment by an identity that is given to us by grace, one that is acknowledged at our baptism. It’s an identity that is deeper and more real than any other identity we will wear on any given day - a beloved child of God. What would it mean to take that identity with you as you go about that day?

In a world that seems so upside down these days, it can be hard to find any semblance of meaning or groundedness. Our lives have become so fragmented that we forget whose love we are rooted in. We struggle to connect our ordinary daily lives with the sacredness of it all. In this worship series, we discover that there are no parts of our lives that are secular, that are untouched by and disconnected from the real sacred work of worship and prayer. Every day is a Sacred Ordinary Day.
