This is the fantastic story of a lesser known Liverpool artiste who was an opera singer well before the pop world embraced opera singers in a big way. David toured Europe but had done theatre dates with Gene Pitney, the Troggs and the Kinks. David found a lot of his success in Germany before coming back to the UK where he performed around the cabaret clubs. He also found success in South Africa and Egypt despite feeling that many artistes of the 60s had been outsmarted by managers and agents. He found great success in the 90s in Holland and resurgent in Germany. It is a compelling story and David told me how the groups reacted to him singing opera in the famous Liverpool Cavern.
