It's memory time..........John Leyton -Singer and Actor...... John Leyton spoke to VInce on Onda Cero Radio about his career on Monday 27th August 2007. John Dudley Leyton is an English actor and singer. As a singer he is best known for his hit song "Johnny Remember Me", which reached number one in the UK Singles Chart in August 1961 despite being banned by the BBC for its death references. His follow-up single, "Wild Wind", reached number two in the charts. John told me about his career and explained how he went to drama school before joining a repertory company in York. In the podcast John told me a lot about his early influences.
