As-salamu alaykum and welcome to Dubai in the beautiful Middle East and the United Arab Emirates. This week is Slice 12 of Loaf 2 GAA Global on the LOB GAA podcast. This week we say good luck to the gang in Cormac McAnallen GAA in NSW and fly to the Middle East.

I chat to Dublin man Luke of Oliver Plunketts GAA, Wicklow man Niall and Wexford lady Naomi about life in the desert sun and Jumeirah Gaels GAA. We chat all about GAA in the middle East, the rising standards of life in the region, rivalries with Dubai, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman and others, the expansion of the club from a social team to featuring county players like Shane Dempsey and Peter Acheson and of course the vital questions like choosing between the Dubai Monorail or the DART, shopping in the Dubai Mall or Blanchardstown and which is better – a camel ride in the desert or a piggy back home!
