On Slice 34 I have the pleasure of chatting the top man himself, Justin Parks (as he relaxes in the sun outside) and his club Costa Gaels GAA on the beautiful southern coast of Spain along Marbella.
We chat everything from Justin’s early life in Northern Ireland and the normality of living in “The Troubles” as the son of an RUC officer, the work in running clubs around Spain and Europe, pipping Madrid and Barcelona to be the first registered GAA club in Spain, Iraqi man Akeeles getting involved with the club and having a dig at an All-Ireland Final referee, fundraising and sponsorship ideas, the future of the GAA Europe and Irish clubs, GAA in the Spanish provinces and much more including – Brian the Karaoke King, dealing with an ETA car bomb in Marbella, Derry Girls, Father Ted and our new #BringBackJoe campaign!!
