On Slice 36 I have the pleasure of travelling north of Stockholm in Sweden to the town of Gavle where I meet Mick (Kilkenny), Dane (Kildare) and former Éire Óg Oxford man, Conor (Donegal) to find out all about one of the world’s newest GAA clubs, Gavle GAA. We chat all about life in Sweden, celebrating before and after matches, the rivalries formed in a short time in Sweden, having good sponsorship, a Vikings All-Star GAA team and making those difficult decisions like ABBA, Christy Moore or Daniel O’Donnell. And Dane tells us about the Swedish game of bandy which he describes as being like a Junior C match in Kildare. And there’s a cracking choice of Father Ted moment!
