John and Breanna will take a deeper look into Zhang Yimou and discuss how he painted this story which critiqued China’s treatment of women. We will also explore the life of the talented actress, Gong Li, who packs an emotional punch on-screen in the incredibly influential film, “Raise the Red Lantern.”
